National Biogas Development Scheme

Information about the scheme:

Under the National Biogas Development Scheme, government grants are given to biogas promotion centers. Amount for general group is Rs. 14,350/- per plant scheduled caste and deposit amount Rs. 22,000/- per plant, if toilets are added the amount will be Rs. Rs.1,600/- per plant. G.P. Rs. per machine under Cess Fund. 12,000/- Supplementary grant is payable.

Beneficiaries: Farmers of all constituents can avail the benefits but Sadar beneficiaries must have 2 to 3 real animals. Also it is necessary to have 7/12, 8a.

  • Biogas production will definitely help in preventing the spread of diseases, insects and germs due to good compost manure and good compost.
  • Helps in preventing air pollution.
  • The best way to dispose of human excreta in rural areas, thus eliminating the problem of inedible waste.
  • Women would be freed from the troubles of Ghurachya. Gas cylinder cutters are an excellent alternative and economical saver.
  • For a family of 5 to 6 people, it can be used for cooking, breakfast, heating water or dinner at both times.
  • This would have saved two ordinary gas cylinders per month. Saving wood means conservation of nature.
  • The best concentrates are available in slurry form.
