Animal Husbandry Department, symptoms of animal diseases in rural areas and preventive vaccination to make remedial plans, as well as training for dairy farming, dairy business and information about various schemes of the Animal Husbandry Department and modern technology etc. Information and demonstration of subjects are done through this department. This department implements various schemes related to animal husbandry of the government. In this, mainly under the group distribution of dairy animals, goat/sheep distribution, the benefits of government schemes are given to the Scheduled Castes-Tribes, general, below poverty line, landless people through this department. District Animal Husbandry Officer, Z. P. Palghar is the head of this department and is the implementing officer of various schemes, as well as he implements the schemes implemented at the central level and state level and through Zilla Parishad initiatives under the guidance of Hon. Chief Executive Officer and Hon. Additional Chief Executive Officer.
Important task:
1) Z. P. To successfully implement the schemes organized by the State Government and Central Government.
2) Implement disease prevention and control programs for animals. Also provide veterinary services.
3) To generate employment through animal husbandry in rural areas.
4) Implementing poultry farming, goat and sheep farming and development schemes.
5) Organizing training programs on animal husbandry, animal husbandry etc.
Various types of artificial insemination, medication, vaccination, castration, pregnancy testing, infertility testing, breeding of crossbred calves, sample testing, surgery etc. are carried out by veterinary clinics of class-1 and class-2. At the group level, the Livestock Development Officer (V) acts as the coordinating officer and implements the schemes on behalf of the Group Development Officer through the Panchayat Samiti and the clinics under it, with a view to implementing various schemes at the government level and Zilla Parishad level.
