Navsanjeevani Yojana

  • Objective: To improve the overall health of the citizens of tribal areas through various measures in coordination with various departments and to reduce the incidence of malnutrition and maternal and child mortality.
  • Program Internal health services-Features:
    • Regular health check-ups of pregnant mothers and children in tribal areas by flying teams.
    • Under the Maternity Grant Scheme, tribal pregnant women are provided with Rs. 400 in cash and Rs. 400 worth of medicines to ensure good nutrition.
    • Efforts are being made to ensure 100 percent registration of births and newborns in remote areas under the Dai Baithak scheme, as well as a survey of the health of at-risk mothers and newborns.
    • Preventive measures to prevent child mortality and epidemic diseases during the rainy season, including screening and vaccination of children.
